| It hasn't stopped snowing in Chicago all day, it's been snowing off and on ever since December. Most would over look this natural, seasonal weather, but for me its different. The snow is my favorite part of God's artistic creation. Every time i walk outside and the snow falls gently on my face i remember who i am, and what I'm supposed to do. Snow is refreshing, snow is inspiring, snow is awakening. I love the winter. | | |
| walking down the streets of Chicago,
arching my neck to look up the endless towers of brick.
climbing my way up, ledge by ledge.
shouting from the rooftops, screaming out my doubts and insecurities.
rinsing my mind clean of the faint stream of pollution,
wiping the tears of self-inflicted grief.
panting, gulping in lung fulls of air,
shaking a glazed layer of lost thoughts from my eyes.
stepping off the building,
down the staircase called mind dumbing reality.
taking a swift sidestep to the right,
narrowly avoiding a fellow pedestrian,
remembering where i am,
remembering who i am.

| mmmm so God is showing me a lot about me that i didn't know was there, Christ is loving me through ways that are only capable for Him, and the Spirit is guiding me through my days one moment at a time.
and i am learning to worship them through ways i couldn't come up with on my own. time for me to finally stop running and surrender myself fully. time to grow up and embrace the meaning of "life". time to live! | | |
